Open Documents
Select Documents in the app. This is your Document Vault. Files are sorted into ten categories, and a counter shows how many of the nine key documents a grant usually asks for you already have. The vault belongs to your account, not to one startup, so if you run more than one venture, name your files clearly.
What to upload
Upload the files grant applications ask for again and again, so they are ready when you need them. PDF, images and Word files are accepted.
- Pitch deck. Your current deck. Keep the vault version up to date so you never attach an old one by mistake.
- Financials. Statements, projections, and any numbers you reference in applications.
- Incorporation documents. Certificate of incorporation, registration proof, and recognition documents such as DPIIT, the ones that prove eligibility.
- Team bios. Founder and team backgrounds, which many grants weigh heavily.
Files up to 5 MB upload. A larger file is refused with a message saying so, so compress big PDFs before you upload them.
Attach documents to applications
The point of the vault is reuse. Once a file is stored, you attach it to an application in Applications instead of digging it out again. Combined with the Answers bank in Applications, each new application starts mostly assembled rather than from nothing.
Privacy: who can see your documents
Only you. Documents are visible to their owner and to nobody else on Incubateer. An incubator cannot see them, whether or not you have accepted its invitation, and they are not shared with grant providers. When you apply, you send the files to the funder yourself.
Common questions
What is the document vault?
One place to store the documents you reuse across applications, like your pitch deck, registration and financials, so you can attach them to an application instead of hunting for files each time.
Can anyone else see my documents?
No. Documents are visible to you only. Incubators cannot see them, even one you have joined, and they are not shared with grant providers.
