Deadline reminders
Every application you track in Applications gets email reminders 7, 3 and 1 days before its deadline. You do not have to set anything up: clicking Apply on portal or Track on a grant is enough. Deadline reminders have their own switch in Settings and alerts if you want them off.
Grants you save with Set alert are watched too. If one is about to close, or opens again, you get one email about it. Overview also lists up to five matching grants with a real deadline in the next 60 days under "Act on these this week".
The Calendar
The Calendar lives inside Applications. It puts the deadlines of the grants you track and the dated grants in the catalog in one view, so you are not checking each scheme's website.
Calendar subscriptions: not working yet
The Calendar offers a link to add your deadlines to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. The link is private to you and keeps working until you press Reset link, which turns the old one off. It holds the applications you track.
Rolling versus fixed deadlines
Not every grant works the same way, and the difference changes how you plan:
- Fixed deadlines. The grant closes on a set date. Miss it and you wait for the next cycle, often a full year. The deadline pill on the card turns amber inside 30 days and red inside 7.
- Rolling deadlines. The grant accepts applications on an ongoing basis and reviews them as they arrive. The card shows it as Open. There is no single cutoff, but applying earlier is usually better because budgets get allocated over time.
