Connect and Playlists

Community Last updated 17 October 2026 5 min read

Chasing grants alone is harder than it needs to be. Connect puts you in touch with founders and mentors and helps you team up on consortium grants. Playlists give you curated collections of grants so the right ones come to you.

Quick summary Connect has three parts: Network (message founders), Office Hours (book time an incubator has opened), and Co-Apply Groups (team up for grants that need more than one applicant). Saved holds the grants you saved, with curated playlists below them.

Open the Connect tab

Select Connect in the app. Inside you will find three sections: Network, Office Hours, and Co-Apply Groups. Together they cover the people side of grant hunting.

Network: message founders

The Network section lets you find and message other founders on Incubateer. Use it to compare notes on a scheme, ask how someone handled a tricky requirement, or simply learn from people a step ahead of you. Founders who have applied to the grants you are eyeing are often the most useful source of detail you will not find on an official website.

Office Hours: book time with an incubator

The Office Hours section shows slots that incubators on Incubateer have opened. Book one and the incubator is told straight away, in the app and by email. When no incubator has opened a slot, the section says so rather than showing anyone who is not really there.

Co-Apply Groups: team up for consortium grants

Some grants are designed for more than one applicant, for example consortium or collaborative schemes that fund a group of startups working together. The Co-Apply Groups section helps you form or join such a group so you can apply jointly. If a grant you want requires partners, this is where you find them and coordinate the application.

Open Saved

Select Saved in the app. The grants you saved with Set alert come first, so the ones you are watching are always one tap away. Below them are playlists.

Playlists are curated, themed collections of grants, grouped around a sector, a stage, a region, or a particular opportunity. Instead of filtering the whole Grant Explorer yourself, you can lean on a collection someone has already assembled.

Subscribe to a playlist

When a playlist matches what you are after, subscribe to it so you can come back to it without rebuilding a filter. Subscribing does not send alerts yet. For alerts, use Set alert on the grants themselves, and your Monday digest covers new matches for your profile.

Tip If you find yourself running the same filter every week, save it as a search instead. Saved searches re-run on their own, and the digest tells you what is new.

Common questions

What are playlists?

Curated sets of grants grouped by theme, like climate or women founders, made by incubators on Incubateer. Subscribing keeps a list handy. It does not send alerts yet; for alerts, use Set alert on a grant.

What is Connect?

A way to reach other founders and the incubators on Incubateer: message founders, book office hours an incubator has opened, and form co-apply groups, so you are not applying in isolation.

You are not in this alone
