Why post-award compliance matters
Grant money usually comes with strings. Funders want to know the money was used for what you said, and they ask for proof on a schedule. Fall behind on reporting or miss a utilisation certificate and you can face delayed tranches, frozen funds, or in the worst case a demand to return what you received. Compliance is how you make sure a win stays a win.
Open Compliance
Select Compliance under More in the app. It comes into its own once you move an application to Accepted in your Pipeline, which gives that grant a compliance card.
Record what each grant expects
Add each obligation as an item with its type and due date: a report, a utilisation certificate, a progress report, an audit or a renewal. With everything written down in one place, you can see at a glance what is coming up across every grant you have won, instead of relying on memory or an old email thread.
Reminders keep you ahead
Incubateer emails you before each item's due date, and keeps reminding you while it is overdue. Treat these the way you treated application deadlines: gather the numbers early and submit with room to spare. A grant lost to a missed report is the most avoidable loss there is.
Common questions
What is compliance tracking?
After you win a grant there are reports, utilisation certificates and other milestones to meet. Incubateer lists them with their due dates and emails you before each one is due, so you do not risk the funding.
When do compliance reminders arrive?
By email before each item's due date, and again while an item is overdue. You add the items once and the reminders follow.
