Setting up your incubator dashboard

Incubators 5 min read

If you run an incubator, Incubateer gives you a view built around your whole portfolio instead of a single startup. Match grants to your cohort, see who is applying, and report on outcomes from one place. Here is how to set it up.

Quick summary Switch to the incubator view in the Incubators tab to open your portfolio dashboard. From there you can push relevant grants to individual startups, track who applied and who won, publish curated playlists for your cohort, and export reports.

Switch to the incubator view

Open the Incubators tab. For incubator users this is your home base: it switches you into the portfolio view, where you work across all the startups you support rather than just one. If you also run your own startup, the startup switcher still lets you move back to that side when you need to.

The portfolio dashboard

The portfolio dashboard shows every startup in your portfolio in one view. Use it to see where each startup stands: their stage, the grants matched to them, and how their applications are progressing. Instead of checking in with each founder one by one, you get a single picture of cohort activity and can spot who needs a nudge.

Push a grant to a startup

When you spot a grant that fits one of your startups, you can push it directly to them. This puts the opportunity in front of the right founder rather than hoping they find it themselves. It is the fastest way to put your knowledge of the funding landscape to work for your cohort, especially for grants a founder might not think to look for.

Track who applied and who won

The dashboard lets you track outcomes across the portfolio: which startups applied to which grants, and which ones won. This gives you an honest, real-time view of how your cohort is doing on non-dilutive funding, and it surfaces the patterns worth acting on, for example a grant several startups keep losing, or a founder who is not applying to anything.

Publish curated playlists

You can publish curated playlists, themed collections of grants, for your startups to follow. If your incubator focuses on a sector or region, assemble the grants that fit and publish them so your founders can subscribe and get alerts as you add new ones. It is a low-effort way to keep your whole cohort pointed at the right opportunities. Founders subscribe to playlists from their own Playlists tab.

Export reports

When you need to report to stakeholders, boards, or funders, use the export option to pull your portfolio data out of Incubateer. Exporting turns the activity on your dashboard, applications, wins, and overall cohort progress, into something you can share or file. The Export tab handles this across the app.

Privacy note A startup's documents and details are visible to your incubator only once that startup has explicitly joined you on Incubateer. Founders choose to join, so they always know their incubator can see the relevant material. See the document vault for how this works on the founder side.
