Using the AI Lab tools

AI Lab 5 min read

The AI Lab is a set of 12 founder tools that take the busywork out of fundraising and grant prep. Each one reads your stored startup profile, so you spend less time re-explaining yourself. Here is what is inside and how to use it.

Quick summary Open the AI Lab, pick a tool, and it works from your stored profile. Tools include a pitch analyzer, idea validator, market research, grant writer, investor email, and founder mentor, among others. The grant writer gives you a first draft to edit. We never auto-submit anything.

Select AI Lab in the app. You will see the 12 tools laid out. Each runs in the context of whichever startup is active in your startup switcher, so the output is shaped to your specific venture rather than generic advice.

The tools

The AI Lab covers the common founder jobs that crop up while chasing grants and investors. Among the 12 tools you will find:

The remaining tools round out the set across pitch, research, writing, and planning. Open the AI Lab to see the full list, since the lineup grows over time.

How each tool uses your profile

Every tool draws on the startup profile you built during onboarding: your stage, sector, location, registration status, and what you do. That means you do not start from a blank page. The pitch analyzer already knows your stage, the grant writer already knows your sector, and so on. You can add extra context in the moment, but the baseline is always your real startup, not a hypothetical one.

This is also why a complete profile pays off here as much as it does in scoring. The more accurate your profile, the more useful the output.

The grant writer drafts, it never submits

The grant writer deserves a clear word. It produces a first draft of your answers, a starting point, not a finished application. You are expected to read it, correct anything wrong, add the specifics only you know, and shape it into your own voice before it goes anywhere.

Incubateer never submits an application for you. There is no button that fires a draft off to a grant body on your behalf. You own every submission, you edit it, and you send it. The tool saves you the blank-page problem, nothing more.

Treat drafts as drafts A first draft can sound confident and still be wrong on the facts. Always check numbers, claims, and eligibility against reality before you use anything the AI Lab produces. The judgment stays with you.
